About Redspot

Redspot was founded in Denmark in 2002 and originally operated WiFi hot-spots in cafés, hotels, private hospitals, etc.

Redspot was also the first in Europe to offer outdoor WiFi in a major metroplitan city. This happened in Denmarks second biggest city, Aarhus, in collaboration with Hewlett Packard, Tiscali and local companies, including Magasin and usage was free.

Soon after, Redspot also began offering wireless Internet access to individuals.

In 2004, Redspot changed focus and was one of the first in Denmark to offer internet telephony and Redspot was the first to offer international Flat Rate plans and is still a leader.

Redspot's VoIP services have been named "Best sound quality and deal" by the leading Danish newspaper Politiken and "Best choice" by the leading Danish Money & Personal Finance magazine Penge & Privatøkonomi.
